Chennai tirusulam station is very close to the airport .. why Indian Railways (IR) is not interested in stopping all their trains here and collect/leave many passengers in this station .. By that way IR can gain more passengers ... As IR is not interested everybody is taking busses from these location to reach there surrounding cities .. is there any hurdle to do this ?
If all trains stop here, what will be the affect on running time of each train?
If all trains stop,It will drastically affect the train traffic in express line and Affect the running time
there is also the issue of baggage. people departing and arriving at chennai airport will find it inconvenient.
The station is adequately connected by local suburban trains with a frequency of 15-20 mins. Honestly, I think this is a much faster, cheaper and a convenient option to travel to the airport, especially if you are arriving at/ departing from Chennai central and Egmore. From there two places you can take trains to get to your final dstn.
