Note Paschim/HWH AC express were replaced by Rajdhanis...
I have written from memory about important trains from the British period which linked the important Presidencies as Bombay, Howrah, Delhi, Madras was known.. The mail trains had precedence over other trains because they carried British rulers' mails....
Open to better information !

List of important trains can be classified depending upon many factors. They may be important historically, commercially, religiously, tourist spot, traffic wise, speed wise, day trains, night trains, inter state trains, within State trains etc.
There are number of important trains one can name either originating or terminating in Gujarat from other important places of India. There are trains in Gujarat - having historical importance, commercial importantce, religious importance, British rule legacies, tourist spot etc.
Only few trains meet all the important cirterias and that list if any, one can try
