Sir....buses , either KSRTC or private operators take 13 hrs from Mys to Trivandrum, whereas the time allotted for this train is 20 hours !!!. The bus route is relatively a shorter route

This extension is actually not for travelers from Kerala. The main objective of this extension is Decongest SBC, and provide a SBC-MYS train in morning.
However speed up, the train is made, bus will reach faster to Mysore from Kerala side. Hence it is upto travelers, if they are willing to sacrifice time and have comfortable journey in train with less fare. Many will actually opt for it as well..
