No Pradyu. Tiruchi-HWH (biweekly) and Cape-HWH (weekly) reach HWH even before Mail at 3.20 am. On 2 other days in the week MS-Guwahati and MS-DBGR Expresses operate on the same slot between MS and Kharagpur. I think that is the problem. But if IR can find a way out these timings will be great.
Porbandar Howrah(or Jnaneshwari Super Deluxe AC Exp) & Azad Hind Fouj Express from Pune reaches before Madras Mail.They also run same route b/w Khargapur & Howrah

That's the list of trains to hwh from KGP. Now, almost the early reaching trains to hwh(before mas mail) are not daily running trains.
Even, this Drnt is not daily. With 23 pfs in place,and there is gap between every train at least mins, there shouldn't be any trouble.

but why almost similar timings? We already have hwh ypr express at more or less sa,e timimngs? Many students go to ypr and they cant afford to reach the college/exam centre at the day of reporting...going a day before has been the protocol...same for return...many board night connecting trains from hwh to their home stations...
IF the exam is completed by 5pm or 6 pm, they have wait till next day 11 pm to board the train. It's again hotel expenses. Also, for cities like blr, if the train is 11 am, then you have to start from home at least by 8- 8 30 am.If its some corners like Electronic city, then add another 30 mins. Looking at this way, one sleeps that night to get early in the morning. Instead, if the train starts @ night, one can finish the chores and catch the train late night.
