It's high time to change the timings of 11014 since it is starting late almost everyday from CBE. The turn around time is very less at CBE. Instead of 8:55, it must made to leave at a new slot from CBE. There is no time for secondary maintanence after run of 1500 Kms.

8:55am departure from CBE is very comfortable. I used to prefer this train always when I was in coimbatore. Timings of 11013 can be altered.

May be ...they should plan some RSA with some other train which departs from CBE from afternoon and arrives CBE in the early morning...

11013 timings are also dependent on arrival of 11014 at Kurla. Moreover the biggest issue is the run from DMM till SBC. Since it is just a pass through train SWR does not give it priority. Once the new terminal at BYPL opens it will not even enter BNC, SBC so maybe might have a much earlier arrival in CBE.
Attached is the reply i got from SWR some months back on the heavy trolling between DMM-SBC stretch

If it can start from LTT by 1800 and reach SBC by 1600 and to CBE by 2300, it would be better. Return can be at 0600 CBE, 1300 at SBC and 1100 at LTT. In the current TT from Mumbai, one is not sure when you will reach your destination. In the return, you are wasting 2 days.
For a CBE person, a train from CBE to Mumbai via Shoranur, Konkan is very much advantageous. But no train runs in this route (except for a weekly). If a new train with RSA can be planned, it will be beneficial.

I agree. I have been uisng 11013 and 11014 quite regularly since inception. In the earlier days 11013 would always be before time at CBE . Of late it is inavriably late by many hours regularly. As somebody pointed out the real problem is between DMM and SBC, Unless this stretch is double lined this problem cannot be solved. Since it is one of the trains from LTT to SBC passengers to SBC would not like this to be diverted without touching SBC, but that is the best solution. It can be diverted via KJM to Salem so that the elctrified double line in that sector can speed up the train. Recently I used a chain for returning namely, LTT-CLT by duronto and CLT-CBE by Intercity. The journey was very very comfortable. The total time taken was only 22 hours 10 minutes
