Yes, its very risky especially after electrification. Even though trains ply with low speed of 20-30 km , strength of bridge pillars is very difficult due to enormous volume of water on the left side putting large no of casualties at stake if some untoward incident occurs
I am sure IR is maintaining it pretty well, but that doesn't end the problem, a new viaduct over more safer location can be other solution.
Needs new alignment altogether. Lots of work, if not started already. Could take up to 10 years to build it. Should be a plan for at least a double line.
Yes whenever they are going for realignment, it should be for double line only for future doubling in case.
