We have tickets for my parents which says W/L 17 & 18. Please let me know if they will be able to board the train.
For which date?in which sector?from what to what station?plz mention
WL or W/L stands for wait list ticket and it's possible to board and travel in the train only if it prgresses to confirm status or to RAC status.
@ For e-tickets under WL, you are not allowed to board the train at all. (As you get automatic refund of WL tickets)
@ For counter tickets /i-tickets, WL ticket holder may choose to travel in unreserved coaches on the strength of WL ticket. But not at all in reserved coaches.

no they wont be able to board the unless the status changes to CNF or RAC
with eticket, he cant. But with iticket, you can in unreserved coach
