I had made a e-ticket by train no:08567, vide no :6109617450 and had booked by 2nd ac. However, on the day of the journey , the coach was replaced by 3rd ac coach. We are family of 4 travelling from Vizag to Vijaywada. I tried to show TTE endorsement in vijayawada as suggested by me to get difference of fare , however was not entertained as it was e - ticket.

was rejected for want of TTE receipt in original . Then , i subsequently sent the receipt by speed post on 9th July 2012 to GM IRCTC, delhi vide number ;EN589218760IN, duly received by them on 12th July 2012. Now as per IRCTC , it has been sent to western railway as the train is under their jurisdiction. Yesterday got message that this has been rejected as original receipt not enclosed.
I have copy of TTE endorsment vide receipt no086260, dated :10/05/12 and original has been sent to railways.
How do i claim the refund in this case, it is around Rs.1000/-
Since, original receipt is with railways, i don't have copy.
I request members to let me know, how to take this case up for refund.
Your help would be of gr8 assistance in this case. This I feel is pure cheating on part of railways.
