Expressing your gratitude in "Words" is not only a way of showing your respect but it's also a way of showing your respect so that you earn brownie points from the Mods.Remember the rule for becoming an "Admin"??? Be nice...and what better way than be nice in a way that hundreds n thousands can read your words.In cases it may be genuine but have seen people going overboard in doing it.

Here I have replied to question "When mod has kept an option called THANKS in the. Options menu none of the admins or members use it. Rarely have i spotted using of this option... Any particular reason. I feel thanks option should be removed."
I never said 'Drop down' Thank You should be removed.
I use 'ready made thank you' when multiple responses pour in.

Correct observation and Genuine demand(force due to present environment) .
Some of us are not showing faith in 'opinion' buttons. Infact they believe in direct one-to-one reply to mark their response(atlease in another forum).
