its still impossible to book a tatkal e-ticket ....either the bank transaction wont happen...or service will be unavailable...search will go on till eternity..bank wont respond...u can only be a mere spectator

Depends on your server speed as well, i use ICICI debit card for booking, after payment screen would be blank sometimes for as long as 05 mins with nothing being displayed passing which the ticket on plan your travel page would appear, i have not been patient enough many times and refreshed the page after this therefore no ticket..
Net banking of any bank is considerably faster than credit/debit card booking though..

i am amazed to see people recommending on banking part...i have worked on top connections with high typing speed coupled with complete info...there have been times when the page will take minutes to show SERVICE IS AVAILABLE...list of trains comes after 13-15 minutes of tatkal timing start...entry form would never come....the page vanishes as soon as u write on plan my travel....we are being fooled by authorities
