I got the reservation 25.10.2012 long back during July,12 i.e. on opening date. How to pay the excess fare due to hike in Rly fare wef.01.10.2012 ?
you dont have to pay. Actually fare has not be hiked. its only service tax which has been hiked to AC and First Class tickets purchaced on and after 1st october
no need to pay as service charge is applied to tickets which bought after 1st oct only, not before that, even while travelling no need to give remaining amout
