Yeah, so basically, the HWH Vasco Amaravati and some of those weekly trains used to skip the main Vskp station and stop at Duvvada instead. But the thing is, all those weekly trains that bypassed Vskp are now sharing slots with other trains in a week that actually stop at vskp, so it doesn't really save any time. That's why they decided to add a stop at Vskp. Another issue is that the trains used to get watered at Vijayanagaram for like 10-15 minutes and then again at Vskp Bypass Simhachalam north for crew change. But since Vskp is the main station with loco reversal, certain mechanical running points and food and catering facilities that are available at the main station are not accessible to the passengers of these trains. Oh, and by the way, right now the HWH Benguluru Duronto also bypasses Vskp. Oh, and get this - they're planning to build a metro too! They've even prepared a DPR for like a 75km route. Exciting stuff, huh?
