Sealdah is the busiest station in India. Total 18 platforms not sufficient. Several Hundreds Number of suburban train and huge passenger 20 million crowd hampers punctuality of Sealdah. So Sealdah need total 30 platforms to fulfil public demand.

If Godown room between Sealdah North and Sealdah South is broken new 6 platform can be built easily. Opposite 9C a new platform 9D can be built.
