RailwayFiles~ 265 blog postsGosh, now i dont wonder why is Indian Railways running under losses and i dont even care about it any more. I guess IR is full of stupid decision makers because of whom the efforts of our great engineers, techical workers and other employees efforts are going waste. If all about "Amrit Bharat" train is just this, why to even invest in making these trains with push pull locomotives and latest technology ? Old 90's ICF rake with a rusted electrical locomotive can serve the purose, no extra cost, easily railways would have made profits. This is such a waste of resources to go into more and more losses. Just like 3AC economy coach, this concept of ABT is gonna be a flop if the best of it is not used. With fare not much higher than normal sleeper ABT is not going to bring up much profits, atleast if the...

Amrit Bharat express with two push pull engines hauling 22 coaches over a distance of 2300 kms at average speed of 50 /53 kmph in either directions is meaningless. I agree that the technology and hardwork of railway units and engineers is going waste and IR continues to do blinders. Push pull trains are ideally suited for 600+ to 1000 km distances with average speeds of 80 kmph. Ideal is between Chennai and Mumbai, with 1268 km can be covered in 16 hours and Bangalore to Mumbai for 1100 kms covered in 14 hours. Two rakes are enough to operate daily trains between these two cities. Additional engine at a cost of 15 crore is being wasted in operating a weekly train, which can be operated by using existing Utkrisht rakes.
Agree with both Shankar and Deepak. Yeah, thats an ideal way to run AB trains. I was upset looking at the average speeds of newly launched ABs having push pull locos and modern LHB rakes. I feel, railway needs to take suggestions from rail fans who are far more visionary than their officials.
This rake will stand in yard from THRUSDAY to SUNDAY morning empty.... Then what it's use when the rake will usless for 3 dyas
