It has been reported in news papers that it is mandatory for SL class passengers to carry ID cards from 1st December 2012 onwards. Is it while booking the ticket or at the time of journey, as was the case with Tatkal booking. Please clarify, as I am booking a ticket in SL class tomorrow for my journey in January 2013.
No need of ID Card during booking for General tickets. Only during travelling.
