It is said that all countries have armies but Pakistani Army has a country. While civilian politicians are favorite punchbags for Pakistanis to hit at for all the corruption in their country, the Pakistani Army's incompetence and counterproductive decisions go uncriticized.

all over the world survive on freight traffic and use that revenue to subsidize passenger fares but in Pakistan freight traffic is routed to National Logistic Cell (NLC), an army controlled enterprise, and the Pakistan Railways is left to survive on passenger fares which is economically nonviable. On the top of it, military propaganda projects this as civilian incompetence. Decades of neglect has ruined this very important institution.
