The demand for a train on this route was raised at a recent meeting of MPs and the Railway Advisory Committee, where they emphasized the need to utilize the new broad-gauge track. The proposal was submitted to the Railway Board, but it is still awaiting approval. A potential schedule suggests a 7:25 am departure from Jabalpur, reaching Raipur at 1:30 pm, and a return journey departing Raipur at 3:15 pm, reaching Jabalpur at 9:10 pm.
