just wanted to point out a very bad experience in 2A coach of 16526 kanyakumari express on dec 26th.
my in-laws were travelling and they had A1-48. Surprisingly, in A1, both 47 and 48 did not exist. the TTE came and said that this is a regular affair as it is an old coach and there are only seats till 46. Shocking!
He was not willing to give any compensation. Luckily my in-law got a spare seat. the person with 47 was not so lucky. imagine paying all that money for 2A and...

very strange move by railway board,while booking ticket cant they verify the total no of seats available for reservation? it's very hard to digest while we booked a ticket while travelling without a seats.....
D traveler can go to Consumer court and file a case against railways for causing inconvenience to traveler holding CNF tkt
Highly Improbable, can you please post PNR in PNR forum so that we can see that allocated berths were actually 47 and 48 in 2A coach.
