Finishing work is underway @ the Patliputra Junction on a war footing..The Non Interlocking work@ Phulwarisharif station has already been started...Patliputra station will be joined to this1 in a couple of days...
Patna junction is presently reeling under Massive pressure owing to the excessive load of trains which often leads to Long delays...

in arriving trains on outer stations like danapur,bihta etc...Now the Beginning of Train operations from this 3rd Junction will ease a lot of pressure from Patna jn and will smoothen train operations in & around the capital....The interlocking work will be finished in 3-4 days from now...The Signalling & Points rectifying work is also being carried out very fast these days...
The biggest hurdle@ present haunting railway men is the maintainance of coaches@ this new station..however the danapur division is ready to start operations from here very soon & Coach maintainance requirements work will be started after finishing Interlocking related work...Railways have also started shifting employees in batches to this new Station...
The Chief PRO Amitabh Prabhakar says "Work is underway in full speed to start Operations from Patliputra Junction asap...We expect Patna"s 3rd Railway Station to start operations very very soon"
