I am finding myself uncomfortable with the number of platform along with the station name.
and hopes is will be removed from here and ll be available at any where else.

as it attached with station name, it gives a quick knowledge about the pf available at particular stn. also it can be hide, i have both views ;)
It is quite useful feature, as AJ said hiding option may be enabled.
