Once upon a time, one of our admins, may be Aditya, had asked me about the timings of the Bhubaneswar-NDLS Rajdhani Express, when it used to ply via Howrah. I have just now accidentally stumbled upon this information, thanks to the link to the 1994 rail budget, provided by admin S.V.Iyer. Thanks a lot Iyer.

Why are you surprised Dipti. For several years since they were introduced, for more than 2 decades in fact, Rajdhanis had only 2 classes of accommodation. AC Chair Car and 1AC. It was only later towards the beginning of the 90s that the AC Chair Cars were replaced by first 2AC and then by 3AC coaches, and that too in a phased manner. I have travelled by ACCC in HWNDLS Rajdhani Express at a fare of Rs. 175, in 1982 if my memory serves me right.
