Despite of giving prefernece of Lower Berth (LB) for my mother, I got Upper Berth. Why railway is doing so for 50+ women. They should consider the age at least of an woman.

But if you book 2 tickets for 2 senior citizen passengers seperately, there is a risk of you getting your seats allotted in different coaches, even if many seats are available.
If you plan to book 2 tickets seperately, it is always better to visit your nearest PRS counter, as you can request PRS clerks to check and book seats in one coach. I had succesfully done this on a couple of occassion earlier
