For a 40 km distance between palakkad to shoranur the rain has been allotted 1 hour 45 minutes. For a dist of 33 kn between shoranur and thrissur, it has been allotted 1 hour and from aluva till ernakulam which is 20 km, the train has been allotted 1 hour. And then you have the final leg between ernakulam and alleppey which it covers in 2 hours........Slack time unlimited !!!!

Ya..slack is too much...every day this train halts @ SRR for almost 30 mins and @ers for 25 mins..:D

On its return journey it reaches shoranur at 9.25 approx and I have seen it consistently leave at 10:05-10:10 hrs. At that time in Shoranur this is the only train and a rare sight to see other platforms vacant yet dont know why it is halted for so long
