25th August 2013: SBC- MAS
Paaam!!! Paaaam!!!- the loco aroused me from the short nap I was having- RPM WAP1 moved past us towards Mysore with the 12008- We had completed descending the plateau circling the Eastern ghats and sun shone brightly on us now as we proceeded to enter one of the major junctions of South Zone the Jolarpettai- Glanced around the coach which resembled a peak hour bus service thanks to irregular bus services of APSRTC towards chitoor owing to agitations people opting to the train-I lifted the Glass window which had pulled down owing to request from fellow traveller at BWT- A train was waiting to move towards Chennai Central the 12698 TVC-Chennai Weekly Express having arrived ahead of

us with a ED WAP4- it was 5 minutes to 9
Well Lalbagh had to reach early the WAP7 bid goodbye as it got preference over the weekly crossing over with the LGD WAG9 waiting to enter into JTJ with a BCNA rake. My mind raced back to the things all along the way
Being a sunday one of the drivers of early morning shift decided on a nap resulting in 5:15AM bus missing schedule and 5:30AM reaching me to station at 6:05AM and to D9-6 at 6:15AM leaving little time to settle before train left- The inbound trains to Bangalore decided to be a bit lazy with only 16731 with Erode WDM-3A showing up at SBC outer. No none dared to cross till BNCE when UBL WDP-4 showed up with late running 16591 Hampi Express from Hubli. We had to slow down at BYPL again as WDP-4B had decided to proceed towards sBC with the 12785 from KCG. AJJ WAM4 awaited all these proceedings at KJM and decided to move with the 56214 from Tirupati to Chamrajnagar just as we entered thus delaying entry of Erode WAP4 with the Island Express. AJJ WAP1 showed up soon with the 16519 from Jolarpettai chased by Erode WAP 4 hauled 16316 from Kochuveli. The MKM Swarna pass crossed us near Devangonthi being the only passenger of morning time to run towards bangalore on sunday followed by the MEMU and DMU to Bangalore city running for maintainence. Finished my breakfast and as we crossed Bangarpet sleep had taken over me till 12008 awoke me
Paam!!!!!! This time it was twins wAG5 with BCNa rake as we sped towards Ambur. Ambur was crossed at 9:30 and WAP7 sped past on opposite side with the 12675 Kovai to Coimbatore, chased in 20 mins gap by duronto bound to Coimbatore with a WAP4. Erode WAP4 gave a surprise visit near Melpatti as it hauled the longest running daily 12626 Kerala Express delayed after a breach near Sewagram. Soon BZA WAM4 came with Seshadri and near Gudiyattam 22625 crossed us with the regular WAP7 link. WAP7 welcomed us again at KPD with 12639 to Bangalore chased down by WAG5 hauled twins getting immediate clearance behind it closely followed by AJJ WAM4 entering into KPD for a halt with 56261 AJJ-SBC Pass. Major crowd got down from our train here and D9 was again a reserved coach with no standees. The run after that was awesome with a solo freight hauled by single WAG9 near sholingur and WAP7 getting complete preference crossed WAP4 hauled West coast at Perambur Loco works slowing down to reach Perambur at 11:50AM. RPM WAP4 crossed with Mumbai bound Express before Basin Bridge and we were pushed into Chennai Central without any held ups at 12:05PM early by 10 minutes and I rushed to get out as D9 was going to be an unresrerved coach as our rake gets ready to leave as 12609 to Bangalore and rush of passengers waiting for the same
