It is a shame that the TTE failed to act fast. TOI or the models should file a written complaint immediately to the Railway officials and also to the Railway police. It is not difficult to trace the passengers travelling in a AC coach with reservation. The best thing that should happen is that Madam Railway Minister should initiate suomotto action based on the TOI news. It is a shame that our daughter and sisters could not travel peacefully in even in a railway AC compartment.

I personally feel that nowadays you will find many types of classes in AC some time elite prefer SL if route is good.
I had a similar experience last month while coming patna last mont some students entered in 3AC in SC PNBE Exp at BUXAR .when some young passenger oposed them and forced them to leave AC coach and locked from inside the same group vacumed train and started stone pelting resulting two window glasses broken but most of AC coach was unaware of this incident.fortunately it was dark at 6.30pm so we escaped unhurt with two smashed windows.

You are very lucky that they did not burn down the AC coaches but only stoned them. In certain parts of India students travelling without tickets in AC coaches prefer to burn them down instead of smashing windows, in case protests are there from genuine passengers or TTEs.
Fortunately it was dark so they could not.but, when they started stoning and abusing from out side one stone just missed a passenger going to MFP and other to my son in law from broken window .but ,no one in other compartments were effected even slightly.
the attendant was on other side came to see glass rubble and returned ,TTE was resting in AC2 because trains arrival time at PATNA is 6 pm no GRP protection was available.
God saved us.

please do not comment entire student community. The whole student community is not like that.
