Rlys arenot overchaarging. The distance to Kolar via Bangarpet and KJM is 88 Kms whereas it is 158 kms via BNC,YNK,CBP,SIDLAGHATTA,CHINTAMANI and SRINIVASAPURA.
how tht can be possible via CBP Kolar is 70kms more when compared to route via BWT....
The rail route goes via Sidlaghatta,chintamani and srinivaspur towns.The distance by rail between Kolar-chickballapur is 87 kms. There was an NG line earlier covering these places which are known for Mango,vegetables and mulberry cultivation for rearing silk
Upto 1995 when unigauge scheme was implemented. The NG train used to run from YNK.
