The famous temple of Shree Kukke Subramanya is about 13 kms from this Railway station- Jeeps and autos are readily available outside the station to connect to the temple- Jeeps are generally overloaded to capacity and charge about Rs.30/- per head to reach the Temple. Autos charge Rs.200/- to cover the distance and generally decided by the complete union and hence no bargaining- the main road (Kukke-dharmastala Road) is about a km from Rly station. Buses sometimes ply to the station in connection with train timings(Not present the day I travelled)

You can easily find some jeeps and autos waiting outside the station that can take you to the temple. The jeeps are always full and will charge you around 30 bucks per person to reach the temple. If you take an auto, they will charge you around 200 bucks for the complete distance, and they won't negotiate much, It's just their union rate. The main road to the temple (Kukke-dharmastala Road) is just 1 km away from the railway station. Sometimes, buses are also available in line with train timings, but when I was there, there were none.
