turyyapal 12 blog postson 13.12.2013 I came HWH from VM by this train. Awesome train. Instead of 06:50 PM, the train arrived VM at 07:15 PM and it brought a great surprise!!The loco was #23054 BIA WAG5!!After VM though it took good speed but it reached MS at 11:00 PM. But the next day at VSKP the train reached by the right time. Here,the SRC Monster i.e WAP4 #22369 took the charge. After departing from the VSKP the red beast started to blast through the Simachalam,North Simachalam etc. At BAM many daily passengers were boarded the train. Anyway,after the BAM the train simply flew to KUR. After BBS,again the blasting started. It reached KGP at 12:45 AM and departed at 01:00 AM. Finally, the red beast reached its final destination at 03:00 AM instead of 03:20 AM!!

I think HWH-Trichy is a very hit & popular train. Yes,I travelled in both of Coro and HWH mail. In Coro,co passengers were good but the most irritating thing was the daily passengers. Some of them were drunk also!!And that day Coro was getting late at every station.It reached HWH around 02:00 PM.After that I didn't availed Coro. I had bad experience with this train. Even MAS-HWH is far better than Coro.
This one and Cape- HWH are very good options timings similar to mail is a added advantage. made them instant hit...offcourse to add being well maintained ones to Mail/Coro..
Yes Rajagopal, these are good trains and quite punctual too. Much less crowded than the Coromandel or Mail.
VGM sir...This was preferred option for me from Chennai to RJY when ever I visit Chennai.
TPJ - HWH, CAPE - HWH are silent workers of this region. unless the daily ones which are quite noisy ones.
Both of them have pretty good slacks which enables to reach on time or with less delay n getting a WAG-5 isn't a problem as they are upgraded to 105 kph now. so hauling a SF isn't a problematic.
