My Departure in on 8 Jan, 2010.Can you plz tell me at what time the Azad Hind will be departing from pune and when i will be reaching Howrah.

Sir, for almost 7 months now following the accident to the ill-fated 2101 Jnanehswari Express on 28th May 2010, timings of west bound trains from Howrah as also in the reverse direction have been resheduled.These arrangements are for a limited period of time but keep getting extended on weekly/fortnightly basis and press notifications for the same are generally issued at the last moment generally sa 1 or 2 days before. Presently the revised timings are effective upto 6th Jan 2011. Accordingly 2129 Pune Howrah Azad Hind Express scheduled to depart daily from Pune at 18.25 hrs leaves Pune the next day at 2.25 am. There is no certainty regarding its arrival at Howrah the day after that. The officialIR site shows ETA at Howrah as 7 am which is quite absurd hoping that the train which leaves Pune 8 hrs late will make up 5 hrs and arrive at Howrah only...

Thks for alot.Then as i have booked ticket for 8 Jan, 2011 ,den when will be my departure timing and date.
It is likely that the train will leave the next day that is on 9th at 2.25 am. HOWEVER PLS CHECK UP WITH PUNE STATION ON 8th MORNING. There were press reports that original timings may be restored by end of January but we will have to wait and see.
pl understand that the bloggers here tried explaining the present position which would be prevalent till 06.01.11. Pl watch for news/announcements on or after 6.1. so that the timings schedule would be known. it has been seen that a day before the last date of delayed schedule, the period of delayed departure are extended. hence it is very difficult to predict right now whether it will run on time or on delayed time on 8.1.
you can query the same question on 6.1. or on 7.1 when the position would be more clearer. kindly bear till that time.
