Bpth trains took 3 hour and 90 min halt where these were OTaken by other trains,
I dont think that there is controller fault, it must be technical fault in both trains

TN is rocking train yaar, which 90%+ times reaches less then 3 hours delay.
and TN did not get OTaken by any normal train which will go till next 1000 km same route .
Remembered that late running SK was overtaken by brahmputra mail at Dankaur and SK could not reovertook him till patna and reached patna 18 hours late
