TTE only checks out the ID proof with the name at the chart...
Woah. Are you saying that CNF passengers can travel without ANY copy of the ticket ?
Oh ok,you mean the TTE will carry a printed record of all the e-ticket people,so the need for cross-referencing with either a soft or a hard copy of the ticket is obviated.
Very simple. Get the PNR from the station chart and from your Mama's mobile ask for status of this PNR from 139 through SMS. The reply with an ID proof is enough as a ticket and no need to bother any further.
