Trains are being shifted out of DDN in the name of platform constraints. No way NR will approve it.

YNRK has empty / near zero patronage and mostly trains get filled from HW. However logic of shifting trains left and right from a state capital city is puzzling & seems like IR has conveniently ignored DDN. As a child in 90s we had more trains with better connectivity. Post "redevelopment" of station people of Doon have been fooled by reduction of trains.
Plus DDN has no connection to Southern & Western India. It could be one of the only capitals having no train to Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Ahmedabad!

There is no focus or planning to develop Dehradun station. Whatever plan we hear are on paper and nothing on ground. Even for Harrawala development not even an inch of work visible. Everything is being shifted to YNRK. With a much faster Delhi Dehradun expressway soon getting ready even Shatabdi / JS / VB will lose their patronage.
You are absolutely correct. They closed the station for 3 months in 2019 in the name of development and capacity expansion. Just after reopening it they shifted 13010, 22660 to YNRK and discontinued 12688 service. What they did in redevelopment remains a secret!

Agreed to every point but the fact remains that post this redevelopment Dehradun has lost connectivity to all Southern states + Mumbai (only train was 19019/19020) & also the iconic Doon express. YNRK being almost 40 km from DDN hardly serves as a satellite station for the city.
By the way this train is being massively slowed down. Dep from INDB / LMNR will be 3.30 pm & arrival at NZM at 9.25. From NZM it will depart at 9.35 to reach YNRK around 6.20 pm which is almost 9 hours for 300 km distance. Why IR is keen on running a slow passenger train cannot be understood.

Very much required and possible also as mostly this train reaches DDN around 12.15. In case they can put 14114 departure around 14.30 it will still be possible to reach SFG by 6 am.
