Consider yourself lucky if you get in the upper deck- the lower deck is not suitable of anyone above 5"7 as the ceiling almost touches your head- will be tough to even put the luggage in the rack
Not a train for heavy luggages- light luggage you can manage (Like Hand luggage of Planes)

Upper is better than lower, taller people can at least stand. The order of preference is middle (regular CC) > upper > lower.
is there any way to get upper deck while booking?? coz suppose i have to go to Dhanbad from Hwh n there is a DD between these 2 cities..

I dont gues stheres any method- but all bookings in MAS-DD for me my cousins were in L deck only but allotted in the middle portion
And the worst part, the CC of a legend was taken away to make way for this train
Choose c1u or c2u as coach preference on booking through irctc.. just suffix a u after c1-8. :-)

Sujjan Kumar 4 blog postsTraveled in DD today from Chennai to KRP. train departed 10 mts late and arrived 15 mts late at KRP. We were in C2 105/106. Journey was comfortable. Good breakfast and other eatables available in the train and are reasonably priced. The train looks really majestic and was happy that I was also a passenger who traveled in this train. 4/5 ratings for this train

Sohan Ahmed 16 blog postsSeats though not as comfortable as Shatabdi but back to back like that of Shatabdi and way better than the face to face seating of Howrah Dhanbad Double Decker.. Also you get the foldable table in front of every seat.. Food available for purchase is not too good in taste.. Only vegetarian food available..

Cleanliness and Comfort; The coach no C8 was a Jan 2013 made one and the cleanliness was top notch.The interiors were very clean and toilets were very clean and dry.There was no water problem and the cooling was very good.
Puntuality;The train departed 5 mins late from MAS and reached KPD on time.The maximum speed achieved was 118 km/hr.
