Bus Connect Both Ways to Pandian exp
In 1875, the Great Southern India Railway Co. extended its line from Chennai to Tirunelveli and a train station named Kodai Road was built near Ammaianayakkanur village, to facilitate visits to the then new hill station of Kodaikanal. It has been operated by the Southern Railway Zone of the Indian Railway since 1951.
Kodai Road continues to serve as the rail to bus transfer point for passengers going to the now popular tourist destination of Kodaikanal, about 2 hours distant via the SH-156 Ghat Road. It also serves the nearby village of Kolinchipatti. This village is famous for flowers. Among the approximately 30 trains per day that serve Kodai Road is the Pandian Express, which runs between Chennai Egmore and Madurai.
Beautiful information on KQN. There could have been more on the KQN Rly Stn, Guage conversion and the hills near KQN. Kolinchipatti information is fantastic! Thank you.

The New LHB Coaches are super
The Coach had 80 berths against the usual 72 berths
S11 Coach has been removed ., so if you have booked a ticket already with S11 being your coach ., kindly check your PNR before the Train starts
As they would re shuffle the S11 berths with the newly added berths in S1-S10 coach
Please rotate all pics by 90degrees
The tilted photos are clear and colorful... I've read in a news item that many passengers preferring last minute travel aren't happy with reduced number of GS coaches in this LHB Rake (but they aren't thinking that the number of seats will increase in these high capacity coaches)... :)
