Nanded Series - 1 Last picture of this journey and second last post in the Nanded Series-1. Here we have the huge Vishakapatnam Electromotives hauling a full coal train entering Hazur Sahib Nanded station. Also, KZJ EMDs heading to Maltekdi and 2 trains doing some shunting work. The Nanded Series - Part 1 is almost over... This is the second last train I saw during this trip, and it was on my list of 'ALCo hauled trains'. It's the 11402 Adilabad-Mumbai CSMT Nandigram Express, which used to run between CSMT-NGP under CR zone. Eventually, it got short terminated at Adilabad due to Covid-19. The train leaves Adilabad at 1:00 pm and arrives at CSMT around 5:30 am. It was powered by MLY ALCo twins from ABD to MMR, then switched to electric traction at MMR. Initially, it was usually WCAM series locos, but due to a shortage, it now runs entirely on diesel, with Kalyan DLS HHP engines taking over. It now starts/ends at Balharshah instead of Adilabad. Scheduled to roll on 28th Jan '23 from Nanded.

I'm heading to Tirupati today and tomorrow I'll be at the Kalyanotchavam at 1100. So, tonight I'll be on the 17261 train from Ndl. Anyone from IRI on this train?
