Tambaram is beneficial than Chennai Central, as it will benefit South based passengers, now being forced to come to MAS.
if left in TBM that will go deep down south in coming years, let the prestigious trains start and originate from main central stations itself and train is slowed when the train is TBM letting it MAS is the best thing

At last Rlys doing something for this train which was going empty between SBC-SSPN. A good move
Extention to Shimoga wil be done bypassing Yesvantpur then it will be the same fate like in SBC SSPN. SMVT will not pull crowd towards Shimoga. The present Chennai Hubli express will also skip Yesvantpur and stop only in SMVT in Benguluru area and it's occupancy will also effect. For today Chennai Hubli they are 400 berths available in current from Chennai to Benguluru.
Now, it's time to make it bi-weekly. Already MAS-SBC is packed. Now, there will be more response till SMET from SBC and MAS. It will be a sure-shot hit, even if they make this as a daily express.
There is some sizeable no of tamil population in Shivamogga-Bhadravati region. This train is for them for end to end travel or TN region. Presently they need to change over at Blore.
