Tanzania Railways Limited ALCo YDM4s 73R24+73R16 get away after dropping off Permanent Way staff and rails, somewhere near Malongwe, 100kms or so East of Tabora. Monday September 8th 2008 and train Z12, the 17:00 Kigoma - Dar-es-Salam, a marvelous 1257km journey from Lake Tanganyika to the Indian Ocean. The train was completely rammed and we were just considering wedging in with the locals in the front coach when the driver got us in the cab of the trailing unit of the pair. Phew!
