I observed 4 tkts. availabe in 15273 exp in lower berth quota. Filled the form for 3 senior citizens and the obtained berths which were LB MB and UB. I expected all of them to get LBs. what went wrong and what alogrithm does IRCTC follow? Further confusion happened when searching again the lower berth quota still showed 4 available.Can someone explain
LB/SS Quota is eligible for Female(above 45 Year)/Senior Citizen/Travelling alone. You had to book 3 tickets one at a time separately(1 tkt for one pax) and berth preference as LB. Only then you could get all the berths as LB.
