also tell me about what this actually means, as i was fined rs-100/- at kopargaon station for travelling a distance less than 600 kms, even though i had proper ticket with superfast surcharge as well.

Dont think any restriction levy on this train!!
U may hav boarded Karnataka Exp, which for unreserved travel is been restricted for minimal 600 KMs....& fine will be applicable to equalize minimum charge for minimum permissible distance!!
