recently i travelled by this in AC2 coach , where it is okay , but sleeper coahes are very crowded , dirty and not maintained properly. no of halts have incresed , moreover due to RSA with 2839/2840 , It is not taken care at yard .

With the timings that it has especially in chennai there is so little time for maintenance. The chennai mail arrives at 4 in the morning and in another 4 hrs departs as coromandel express !!Even i have heard that now sleepr class travel in this train is really a bitter experience with too many waitlist passengers boarding sleeper coaches. The flow of passengers between kolkata-chennai has increased a lot but the number of daily trains remain the same(only 2)....high time another daily train is introduced though it is a far fetched possibility

Tiruchapalli - Howrah express should be a daily train with 5 days from trichy and two days from kanyakumari with 23 coaches and this will reduce the load to some extent. Also the Ac express arrival time at chennai central should be revised to reach at 2100. Chennai shalimar express should be made 4 days

It is almost next to impossible to have new train arrivals at chennai station between 4:30 and 8:30 am. Similarly it is a bit difficult to have departure/arrival from chennai between 19:30 hrs and 22:00 hrs....since the station is packed
