My senior citizen parents are going to travel via 12222 hwh-pune duronto on 27th mar. Though there are lot of seats left, I could not manage to get "at least a lower berth" for them with 4 attempts for past 3 days. the avalibility came down to 189 from 235 in 3A , but the problem remains. I tried with choice 1 middle & 1 lower and clicked " at least a lower berth" but failed to get. How come they are not allotting a lower berth even after 189 seats left? Can you please help.

Here is an immediate solution:
1. There are 6 lower berths available under Sr. Citizen (SS) quota for 27th march.
2. to avail Lower Berth (LB) quota, a Sr. Citizen has to be travelling alone.
3. So you need to make two separate booking for your parents.

The name itself is GENERAL quota. Which means no rules apply.. No concessions given. No Considerations made.
In general quota, all LB seats might have been exhausted. Book it separately as early as possible , then you will get the LB quota seats.
There is no need to select a specific quota while booking it separately, If the passenger is eligible for LB quota , the system will automatically allot the LB quota seats.
