Chennai - yesvantpur 12292, shalimar, santragachi, Coimbatore weekly, Newjalpaiguri, Haldia, Palani, Yercaud , 12689 Nagercoil, hubli 17313, 12375 asansol etc may be shifted to Egmore to avoid congestion in Central. Villupuram - Kharagpur / purulia may be extended to Tambaram after becoming terminal.....

Any new entrance will come on the eastern side of the station???????????. They can construct complete roof type station like central and egmore which looks as grand terminal
Actually its a must to become a terminal most of the people get down at tambaram will go some what empty to MS..
I don't think so..since pit line is coming on the eastern side, there is less chance for an entrance there. Roof type terminal is a great idea. But my concern is if Tambaram becomes a terminal, where will they have place for parking? GST road is right next to the station's entrance and it is sure to make heavy traffic jam as the road is always packed with vehicles heading towards southern Tamil Nadu. Also the front entrance which is present now is narrow. It needs to be enlarged. As you say there should be more than one entrance to the station. There are lots of empty space near the north-eastern part of the station. They can make use of it.
U see in bombay hw panvel local station is constructed the same way they can construct for tambaram that is my wish gives a mall look
