I think the very high fare is the main reason for this.....if IR thinks of reducing the fare a bit, then it would be good...bcoz already its taking 15min more time then the rajdhani exp...so this premium train is not the fastest on mumbai delhi stretch....
Yes the pricing point is valid,
But this is the way Govt organisations work.
There should be a logical system where vacancy and price should link each other leave time barrier,
If 90% seats vacant then prices should be normal but with 60% price must increase dynamically.

If that's the case what railways earning from passenger trains are nothing when compare to fright. Will railways stop running passenger trains with that reason ??
At least now railways attracting people in busy route who used to go with private airlines. Things moves slowly nothing will happen in one mid night. Lets give some time to railways to get stable.

IR should really come up with a plan these premiums can be regular...

That's not logical, Do you really think these 2-3 trips will fill empty pockets of IR by large? This is not a long term plan and running 10-12 trips in a year will absolutely make no difference
The premium pricing policy needs a serious consideration and the concept can become a success and can be tried round the year as well provided pricing is right...
