sachinature~ 8572 blog postsWhen this train is mainly meant for end to end passengers. What was the reason to divert it via loop route of Ypr - Tk - Bay - Gtl. Just for the sake of two stations ?.
Instead, this train would have been followed Ypr - Dmm - Gtl - Pune or Ypr - Ubl - Pune directly without any loco reversals and saved another 2 - 3 hours. If they don't have plans to stop over at districts like Solapur/Gulbarga/Raichur/Chitradurga

Two questions
1. Do really passengers board from TK/BAY. Both of these districts have good connectivity to rajastan at-least bi-weekly by other exp trains
2. If passengers board from Tk,Bay. Why not stop at other big cities like Ctr, Rc, Gr, Sur, Pnvl, Brc, Rtm
In my perspective this train should be Duranto rather than premium, no use for intermediate stations

testing is this the way to test ? SWR have gone mad... When a train can run on the rails and when CRS has approved then that line is ready for deployment of trains. Now, regarding traffic on this route except Bellary no other places can see huge crowd... I guess even bellary traffic would be less. Crazy SWR first double the DMM route till GTL only then SWR can run more trains else RIP
Totally agree to your point. SWR should come out of the comfort zone to think innovative. Prime routes such as YNK-DMM, SBC-UBL, LND-HPT should be completed at the earliest. I don't see any better prospect for route via Chitradurga except for an ICE b/n HPT-YPR or HPT-MYS.
Better IR should rename it as Duranto if they do not provide stops at Solapur, Gulbarga, Raichur, C'Durga, Vasai Road, etc...
Yes... Instead, if they could have run this as a normal SF special, it would have still got good patronage with stoppages at Solapur, Gulbarga, Raichur, C'Durga, Vasai Road.
