Yesterday this train had an unscheduled halt at CAN... for diesel filling...MAJN and CLT are the technical halt.. Distence from MAJN to CAN is 137km and distence from CAN to CLT is 89....Then why it filled at CAN...
I observed another think... The patronage is increased... All coaches are full...

The total length of SRR-MAQ line is 307km. But, electrification will be done for the length of 328km, upto New Mangalore Port at Panambur via MAJN & Thokur, including some branch lines. But, the doubling is only upto Thokur.

Exactly. As MAJN-Thokur-Panambur line was included as the last leg of SRR-MAQ doubling, including new crossing station at Jokatte for Bajpe Airport.

At present, utilization of SRR-ERS double line is 190% and that of SRR-MAQ double line is 98%. So, third line will be required in the near future. Even Intermediate block signalling system is installed, the capacity of the tracks will be much affected.
