Diverted trains are given least priority same is applied even for premium trains like Rajdhani,duranto etc. Sometimes,even a passenger train can overtake Rajdhani exp if the latter is diverted. This is followed in all zones of IR
BG, if a train is diverted via another route, the diverted train will be considered as an alien.. Normal trains will be given priority which runs on the normal route. The Alien has to wait...
It will be overtaken by many trains. Diverted trains gets least priority
dats what I said...normal right time running expresses wont be delayed due to alien rajdhani...but at the end of the day rajdhani remains a rajdhani...as catering has to be provided free of cost to passengers for delayed part, so it still gets somewhat priority. ..I remember my right time brahmaputra mail was delayed by an hour to let diverted dibrugarh rajdhani cross it at sahibganj jn...
