OLD IS GOLD-Travel Experience
12601/02 is one of the oldest running train in Kerala which connect to MAS. Here is my experience in this train. Once in a month, i used to travel in this train for more than 1 year. So am combining all the experiecne and joining into one.

Old rakes, mostly from 90s till 2001. one or two 2009 rakes
Cleaniness: Average to Good. Sometimes the rake are not properly cleaned, we can find rats running here and there. Sometimes it is really good. Like yesterday i travelled in S7. It was super clean, even bathrooms were well cleaned and was shining.
Maintenance: Again I will have to give the rating between average good. Eventhough rakes are not brand new, it don't look that old.
Punctuality: MAS actual arrival time is 5:25am, most of the time it reaches on time. Sometimes it gets late. Maximum late was 20min(when i was travelling). That too, late happens bcoz of platform unavailability at MAS.
Security: Good.
Other: It has good patronage and always in WL. Its high time for SR to add one more sleeper. Currently running only with 11 sleeper and only has 22 compartment in total.
Over all rating 3.5/5 An above average train.
