My question is whether Sabari could be speeded up by 2 hours or more? I have always felt so while travelling in this train for last 5 years. Comnents please...
The first and foremost train in South India which deserves for increase in speed. Connecting 3 '2 million plus' cities, this train's speed must be increased ASAP. A volvo takes one from HYB to ERS within 19 hours.
There should be a fast train bet ERS to KCG via SA-YPR-DMM-DHNE. Total distance is 1194 Kms. Can be covered in 22 hours. Such a train can act as a day train bet ERS-SBC and night train bet SBC-KCG or vice versa. In line with Kongu express route. Why take HYB passengers all the way to east coast and bring them back to centre, wasting fuel, time, money and energy?
All SR,SWR,SCR can reap good profits as it will connect ERS CBE SBC and HYB. Even officials at IR know this, but we are unaware of what makes them to detain from such a route.
