Why there is EOG is Non AC Express. Like Purushottam, Poorvator Exp INDB YPR exp & Even some LHB Express trains? Why can't they add Dynamo in every Coaches?

HOG works with electric loco wherin the coach load been factored via OHE transmission via Loco..currently few P-7 equipped with the facility & Kalka Shatabdi (morning dep @ Kalka) runs with the same with dead EOG!!
EOG will have low consumption as compared to extra loco (twins) & all diesel run EOG Rake never been seen with twins (or mostly not with WDP4 Series)!!!
WDP4 been used mostly for diesel run train with high AC Count, instead of twins nowdays, as it manages somehow the required pull & mostly these train kept on

In ICF, AC works with dynamo, which functions with wheel rotation...better rotation leads better load maintenance!!!
For AC Coach, friction is higher, as dynamo needs extra power to manage AC Load & Loco pull require more power..more AC gonna create more pull friction for loco & hence performance deplete!!!

1) SG is an outdated technology. It's the most inefficient method of power generation. Many countries have eliminated it. A lot of maintenance would be required ( maintenance of batteries, dynamos, etc). Hence, the running costs increase.
Note : IR manufactured LHB SG rakes in the past. Those rakes were allotted for Shalimar Express But the MPS was restricted to 105 km/h. There were other technical problems too). Eventually, the rakes were withdrawn.
2) EOG is more efficient as compared to SG. But it has other disadvantages like noise pollution, air pollution

etc. Main advantage is that the potential speed of the coaches can be exploited.
3) HOG is the best source of power generation. But the locomotive should have HOG couplers. But there will be no noise, no pollution.
