NCR gets first ROR flyover at Tundla
A major chapter has been written in the annals of North Central Railway as railway traffic commenced on new Railway Over Railway (ROR) flyover on Saturday. The ROR constructed at Tundla is the first in the NCR. It will reduce traffic congestion on Agra-Tundla and New Delhi-Howrah routes.

A railway officer said that this is the first ROR flyover in NCR. There was immense challenge in the beginning which was overcome by technical experts.
The ROR has been constructed between Tundla and Etmadpur to avoid surface crossing of Delhi-Howrah main line tracks by trains coming from Agra and going to Tundla. The detention of trains on Agra-Tundla route and Delhi-Howrah main lines would be avoided. Train on Delhi-Howrah main lines and Agra-Tundla line can pass without crossing each other.
The flyover has been constructed at a cost of Rs15 crore. The bridge has a 76.2-metre open web girder. The girder was fabricated in Manmad workshop and assembled at the site.
